http://www.babelbear.com We're a free, non-profit team of three friends who made a site that lets you add subtitles directly on top of YouTube videos in any language. There is a built in request system if you want subtitles for a particular video in a language that isn't already created. We're looking for feedback on how to make it better. We want it to be a open wiki-type community for subtitling internet videos - Paul posted: 09.08.2008 @ 14:10:10 It would be nice if we users could somehow export the certain movie with the subtitles. And then we could have a *.flv file with pasted subs in the video on our disks. posted: 09.08.2008 @ 14:26:36 (eLiSiR): It would be nice if we users could somehow export the certain movie with the subtitles. I meant that it would be nice to have something for downoading the .flv movie with the subtitles from the babelbear site. Or if it is possible to somehow import the subs into the .flv movie. posted: 12.08.2008 @ 18:07:37 thanks for checking out Babel Bear! At the moment we don't have plans to allow you to download the video along with the subtitles. We'll have to look into whether or not that infringes on any youtube usage agreements (my hunch is it does) but if not we'll include that in our update feature list! if you think of any other ways we can improve the site please let me know or leave feedback on the site |
