Danish characters in subtitles

Post by SammyK » Sat Sep 26, 2015 12:19 pm

Im getting wrong characters for danish æ, ø and å.

Instead of "å" im getting "ĺ"
Instead of "ø" im getting "ř"
Instead of "æ" im getting "ć"

It's on all podnapisi subs (danish).

Hope theres a fix for this, thanks in advance.

Thank you for report. It has been fixed, all new subtitles will have proper encoding.

As for current ones, we'll have to re-parse them with new encoding, unfortunately (the ones that were already migrated to new system).

If there is a subtitle you want, let us know, to make it a priority.

well Im back :)

Now alot of the danish subtitles is simply stripped from æ, ø and å :/
Aquarius & Empire are some of the show i recently noticed it in.

With alternate symbols they could at least be replaced but now the characters are simply missing, making it impossible to insert them without doing it by hand

Old problem, will issue reparse. The problem is probably in conversion into iso-8859-11. Try with utf-8.

Ye with UTF8 we are back to:
"Instead of "å" im getting "ĺ"
Instead of "ø" im getting "ř"
Instead of "æ" im getting "ć""

But the problem is still the same? Can you give me a link so I can check if it was reparsed?
