They know from L that Kira has a power that can kill anyone without laying finger on the victim. The detectives even claim that if they were Kira, they'd certainly kill everyone that is after them because otherwise they'd be the one who's executed.    Ryuk informs Light that he's being followed and asks Light if he wants to make a trade for his own Shinigami eyes. But at what cost?

Tsuiseki: Pursuit

The episode begins in the Shinigami world where a Shinigami realises that lately they haven't seen Ryuk around. Another wonders if he really dropped his Death Note in the human world.    One of these Shinigami seems to know that a human obtained the book before Ryuk did. This means that he'd have to wait until the human died or until the book is filled up. A Shinigami thinks that Ryuk actually has two Death Note much to the surprise of the others. Meanwhile in the human world, Light tells Ryuk that his offer is out of the question. He explains that because he intends on becoming a God of a new world without crime, he has to maintain his reign for a long time. If the offer is to prolong his life then he'd consider it but not shortening it. He thinks Ryuk should have known this by now. Upon hearing this Ryuk claims that he just wanted to tell Light about it so Light wouldn't complain about it later, saying that he didn't tell him sooner.  Meanthime Light creates a complex plan involving the Death Note and another criminal to try and expose his follower's name and identity.
