Episode 1
Janet Leach finds her life being turned upside down after she is requested by police to sit in on interviews as an independent safeguard on behalf of a man they have arrested. He soon makes a shocking confession of murder. Janet then finds herself being drawn right into the middle of the investigation and a strange personal relationship with Fred West, who gives her other information about victims that she cannot tell the police about because of her confidentiality to him.
Episode 2
Janet's relationship with Fred West ends up entering a whole new phase after she goes to see him in prison attemtitng him to confide in her information about other victims and the involvement of his wife in the crimes. Their involvement ends up having shocking consequences for her at Rosemary's trial.
