When Nate Sefton goes missing, his brother, Jeff, a tarnished reporter, searches for him. Jeff discovers that Nate's disappearance is somehow tied to the underground following of a show on TV called Cult. He joins forces with Skye Yarrow, a research assistant on the TV show, and they soon discover that a secret group of fans may be responsible for a series of murders and abductions.
